Frizinghall Primary School

Welcome to Reception

There are many grown-ups who help to support us in Reception. We all work together as one big team across two classes; Reception Cherry and Reception Sycamore.

Miss Dobson – Reception Cherry Teacher and EYFS Leader.

“This year, I am new to Frizinghall, but I already feel like I have been teaching here for many years. I love coming to work and seeing everybody’s smiley faces. At home, I have a very busy life, 2 pet guinea pigs, a pet rabbit and three children! I love to go on long walks and do lots of delicious baking.”

Miss Parvez – Reception Cherry Early Years Practitioner and Key Worker.

“I am new to Frizinghall but I only live around the corner. I have a little boy who I love to spend lots of family time with. At school, I love to be creative”

Miss Bower - Reception Sycamore Teacher.

“I am just starting my sixth year teaching in Reception at Frizinghall Primary School. At my house I live with my husband, two teenage children and two guinea pigs. The guinea pigs are called Piggle and Piper.

I like to ride my bike and I love to plant and grow things in my garden. My favourite thing to do is to snuggle up with a cup of tea and a good book.”

Mrs Petty - Reception Sycamore Early Years Practitioner and Key worker.

I love Early Years because I am always busy, I find reception children fascinating and inquisitive. At home I like to spend time with my pet dog and my family. I love to travel to new places and see the world.”

Mrs Ali - supports in Reception Sycamore.

“Being in reception this year is lovely because I know all of the children from when I was in Nursery last year. I have worked at Frizinghall for many years. When I am at home, I enjoy cooking lots of meals and seeing my family and friends.”
